An understanding of the theories and laws in this chapter is essential if you are to become a good diagnostician.  The resistance calculation from Ohm's law, the voltage drop laws from Kirchhoff's Law, understanding series, parallel, and series-parallel circuits are all required learning for automobile technicians.  Developing a good diagnostic routine will involve this knowledge and more.  Developing a good diagnostic routine will be discussed later in this class.
