Solving for E
Given the following information, solve for E.
- E is unknown,
- The current (I) in a circuit is 2A.
- The resistance (R) is 6 ohms.
To solve for the Electromotive force (E) required to produce such a current, cover the E as shown below; I and R remain visible.
The answer would be E = I x R, or E = 2A x 6 ohms, resulting in E = 12V.
