Blue Button

The blue button has two functions: 

  • First - The blue capacitor symbol to the right of the Omega Ω symbol indicates that capacitance can be measured if the blue button is pressed.  Capacitance measurements are limited to 0.01 nF to 5.0 µF, not very useful in automotive applications.  

  • Second - When measuring current, by default, DC amperage measurements are enabled.  To enable AC amperage measurements, press the blue button.

Note: This button on the Fluke 87-V is yellow in color.
