This activity allows you to look at your own stress levels from several different angles. There are many ways to assess stress and when we put several together we get a good picture of where we are stress-wise.

The chapter 2 reading on self-assessment is necessary to help you with each of the assessment questions below.

Complete each of the self-assessments that follow. First use your own word processor to note your scores or thoughts. Then in the box below transfer your completed work (be sure to always save your work to your computer or disk). Make it appear something like the following example:

My resting heart rate was ______ beats per minute

My breathing location was ______

My breaths per minute was ______

My Stress-o-Meter score is ______ (The instructions for how to check this and the previous three are found in the Assess Stress Table in the reading.)

After completing the Symptoms of Stress Form (p. 22) my thoughts about my results are ...

My score for the Perceived Stress Scale was ______

My score for the ICSRLE was ______

My score for the Ardell Wellness Stress Test was ______

My score for the Student Stress Scale ______

Finally, thoroughly answer this question:

Based on these stress self-assessments, what conclusions can you make about your current stress levels and what insights did you have about yourself as you went through the assessments?
