DVD Relaxation Exercise

Guided Imagery - Mountain Lake

The DVD assignment for this lesson is the third exercise on the DVD called "Guided Imagery - Mountain Lake." (Do not do the the other two guided imageries - Floating Through Colors or Inner Wisdom - for this week's assignment!)

Practice doing this exercise at least two (2) times according to the instructions on the DVD. Resist the urge to fall asleep, so don't do it just before you go to bed.

Do it at times when you will not be disturbed. It lasts approximately 14 minutes.

In a typed format, respond to the following items:

  1. How you felt before the exercise
  2. Your experience during the exercise
  3. How you felt immediately following the exercise
  4. How you felt long after completing the exercise

On your typed paper, thoroughly respond to each of these items referring to the two times that you did them. Describe primarily how you were feeling in relation to your stress levels.

Follow this general outline with your description:

Daytime (first time):

  • Before

  • During

  • Immediately after

  • Long after

Daytime (second time):

  • Before

  • During

  • Immediately after

  • Long after

Be thorough with your description of your experience and how you felt.

Type all of this information in your word processor. Be sure to save it, and check it for spelling and grammar errors.
