In getting started on your country profiles, the biggest hurdle is locating good, credible resources for IT relating to your country. Share with us a good resource you’ve located for global or national IT issues, describe it, and include its web address. |

What are some indicators of your country's knowledge assets? Look at Table 3, p. 29 of this week's reading to get some metrics, and then research them. Share with the rest of us some interesting findings on your country. |

There are a number of global agreements to protect intellectual property including Trips and the WIPO Copyright Treaty. What protections does your country recognize? What is your country's track record on prosecuting illegal copying of intellectual property such as music, video and software CD's? |

Both are quickly being integrated into traditional business practices. What are some trends in your country? |

Read three of the articles listed on the InfoWorld web page linked to the class readings, and identify some of the benefits and risks to the U.S. (enterprises and individuals)to outsourcing overseas. In researching global programming issues relevant to your country, you'll come across a wide variety of countries and companies providing programming services. Where do you think you'd send a big corporate programming project? Or, would you choose to keep it in-house, regardless of the expense. Why? |
